The Administration Division handles record keeping, gun permits, civil process records, warrant information, prosecution of bad checks, budgeting, grants, personnel and the day to day operations of the department. The Sheriff's Office Administration consists of the Sheriff, Chief Deputy, Sergeant, Jail/Dispatch Administrator, and Office Administrator/Accountant. They are assisted by a Records Management Coordinator and a Clerk/Typist. Records section is responsible for maintaining all criminal history, investigative reports and criminal files for the Sheriff’s Department and Jail. The records section also forwards required information to the proper agencies [i.e. Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and Federal Bureau of Investigations]. The records section is where you can obtain copies of accident records and other records relating to the Sheriff’s Office.
