Established in Minnesota Statute 84D, the State uses a four tiered system to classify invasive species, which establishes the level of regulation and allowable uses for each species. These classifications are Prohibited Invasive Species, Regulated Invasive Species, Unregulated Nonnative Species and Unlisted Nonnative Species. These classification definitions as well as what species fall under each classification are included in this document.

This document is a comprehensive list of all of the known AIS in Hubbard County and what lakes they are located in. This goes above and beyond the MN DNR Infested Waters List (which only includes 18 prohibited invasive species) by including regulated invasive species as well as all prohibited invasive species. Some of the invasive species you will see on this list that are not included on the MN DNR Infested Waters List are mysterysnails, rusty crayfish, common carp, curly leaf pondweed and purple loosestrife.
