Purpose Statement

The Hubbard County Probation Office is responsible for supervision and case management of adults and juveniles who reside within Hubbard County and are placed under probation supervision by the Court or on supervised release through the MN Department of Corrections Hearings and Release Unit. The County Probation Office is also responsible to provide Pre-Sentence and Pre-Dispositional reports to the Court.

The Hubbard County Probation Office operates through a contract between the MN Department of Corrections and Hubbard County. This office is staffed and supervised by the Department of Corrections probation officers and support staff with oversight by the district supervisor. It should be noted that per statute, Hubbard County is reimbursed for a portion of one of the probation officer's salary/fringe. The amount to be reimbursed is determined annually by a legislative appropriation.
