Household Garbage Disposal Guide
In Hubbard County all trash must be taken to one of the two transfer stations in the county. When going to the transfer stations make sure all of your garbage is secure. There is a $700 fine for littering, and the law is strictly enforced on all roads leading to the transfer stations.
Residential: Residential trash can be brought to either of the transfer stations. If you are a Hubbard County property owner there will be no charge. Property owners can choose to get their garbage hauled for them by hiring a licensed garbage hauler.
Not a Hubbard County Property Owner? No problem, for a fee you can drop off trash at either of the transfer stations in the county. As a reminder, all non-Hubbard County users are required to pay for disposal or purchase a yearly permit fee. It is illegal for Becker, Beltrami, Cass, Clearwater and Wadena County property owners to dispose of waste at Hubbard County transfer stations without purchasing annual permit or paying per load. The annual out of county permit fee for 2024 is $260. See tipping fee schedule above for more information on fees.
Commercial: Trash from a business located in Hubbard County can be brought to either of the transfer stations and disposed of at no cost, but all commercial loads need to go across scale or see attendant. Businesses in the county have the option of getting their garbage hauled for them by hiring a licensed garbage hauler.
Is your business located outside of the county? No problem, for a fee you can still dispose of your commercial garbage at either of the transfer stations in Hubbard County. All loads need to be inspected and go across scale.
