Hubbard County Additions & Renovations 8/18/2025 –

Project Update:

Construction continues to progress at the Hubbard County Additions & Renovations project. The following is a high-level update in the specified areas.

At the Government Center, level 1 – Phase 1A, drywall installation, along with painting, has been completed. Mechanical and electrical grid work has been completed, as well as acoustic ceiling tile pad out. Finish flooring is scheduled to be completed, week ending August 22nd, 2025. Owner’s furniture move-in coordination will continue to be had, for phase -1A.

The new Garage and Sally Port additions are continuing to progress, as well. Footing and foundation work has been completed and backfill is on track to being completed, week ending August 22nd, 2025. Precast erection, a big milestone, is set to commence August 25th ,2025, with steel erection commencing September 8th, 2025. Also, prior to precast erection, the CMU (concrete masonry unit) wall, adjacent to the existing building, will be completed.

At the Law Enforcement Center (East side), foundation walls, piers, pads, and footings have been completed and backfilling is underway. In the coming weeks, the surrounding community will begin to see this project come to life! With precast and structural steel commencing, expect to see heavy equipment being operated. Soon after, roofing work, interior backfill, and underground MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) will commence, at the Garage and Sally Port.

The project has been publicly bid and is within budget. The County Board approved construction contracts on January 21, 2025.

  • Work Scope 11 Mechanical: Masters Plumbing and Heating, LLC. in Alexandria, MN
  • Work Scope 12 Electrical: Bergstrom Electric, Park Rapids, MN 

Weekly project updates will be provided to the county once the project commences and monthly board updates addressing the current status of the project will continue.
