Seasonal Changes and Updates
Hubbard County’s north transfer station will stop accepting household hazardous waste effective September 15th 2024. This is a seasonal change; the north transfer station will resume accepting hazardous waste April 15th 2025. Hubbard County Residents will need to bring all household hazardous waste to the designated disposal area, building B, at the south transfer station in park rapids.
Household Hazardous Waste includes paint, solvents, pesticides, batteries, E-vapes, cellphones, electronics, gas cylinders, and light bulbs. Anything with signal words warning, danger, caution, poison, explosive, or flammable.
Failure of properly disposing of household hazardous waste will cause environmental toxic contamination, risk of injury to frontline workers, fires, or explosions.

Deer & Hunting Carcass Drop-off
Hubbard County Solid Waste is preparing for the upcoming hunting season. Do not place carcasses into household garbage, recycling, or organics bins. At the south transfer station all hunting carcasses must be disposed of into the Orange Dumpster labeled “Deer and Hunting Carcasses”. This Dumpster will be located in the outdoor express lane. At the North Transfer Station please report to the main office and our team members will direct you to the disposal area.
