Light Bulbs
Under state law you must recycle Fluorescent/LED light bulbs, and they may not be placed in regular garbage. Fluorescent/LED light bulbs are considered a form of household hazardous waste and need to be disposed of properly.
Items accepted:
- 4' and 8' Fluorescent/LED light bulbs
- CFL Bulbs
- LED Bulbs
- Other Straight Fluorescent/LED light bulbs
- HID Lamps
- UV Lamps
- Ballasts
*Incandescent Lamps may be placed in regular household garbage*
Where can you take Fluorescent/LED light bulbs?
These items can be recycled at either of the transfer stations in the county. When you arrive at the transfer station go to the office or ask the attendant and they will further direct you. Light bulbs are hazardous waste and must be disposed of properly. Fluorescent/LED light bulbs cannot be taken to the recycling shed sites.
Fees:
There is no fee for Hubbard County residents to recycle their Fluorescent/LED light bulbs. There is a fee for any out of county businesses or residents.
